South Pacific Memorial Peace Park - Yigo Village, Guam
Here, the last Japanese organized resistance on Guam ended on August 10, 1944; at the site you can find a small remembrance chapel, a peace memorial, and several monuments and markers that commemorate both the people who took part in the battle of Guam, and those who came later to remember them.

Liberty Station, San Diego

Over a million recruits trained at NTC, and tens of thousands more went through technical schools here. Much of the base was turned over to the city of San Diego in 1997, and on the grounds are dozens of buildings reaching back to 1918 as well as several important monuments. The history of the presence

San Diego, California
Greetings all! As some of you may have noticed, I recently transferred from Guam to San Diego, California. This is our first time living in the United States as a family, and my first time living in America in nearly nineteen years. We jumped into San Diego with a lot of excitement, and the city has not disappointed. There's a lot of great things to do here, and historical sites to see. I have just added a San Diego page to the Pacific History Guide website, and will continue
