Greetings Pacific History Guide fans! This week has been a whirlwind for me, with a lot of prep work going into upcoming projects, in addition to the regular battle rhythm with work and family. This week's blog post is a short one, but I'm hopeful that it will be worth it; later on this week I'll be launching a new location on the website. I'm very excited to announce on the next week's blog post; I'm sure some of you all may even have guessed what's coming!

I'll also be presenting a WW2TV talk this coming Thursday. The focus of the piece is the Battle of Leyte Gulf, the 81st anniversary of which we will mark on October 23-26 this year. Leyte Gulf is a complex battle and there's a lot of facets to cover, but if you've seen my previous WW2TV spots you know I love to present from the Japanese perspective and so I'll use the perspective of Vice Admiral Takeo Kurita as my lens. Kurita, and many of the principal figures at Leyte Gulf survived the various engagements, and were debriefed by the Allies after the war, so there's a lot of great material that I've used to build this presentation. All of the sources used are on the PHG resources page and reading list.

Here's the link for the talk. Keep an eye out for our new location this week, I'm looking foward to all of it. Thanks for the positive support and keep the good vibes rolling in!

Keep discovering,
