Greetings PHG fans, today I come to you with another guide to the guide; the resources page. This is different than the reading list, which contains only books. The resources page captures public library and museum collections, online databases, news articles, and other materials that can be used in research, with the intent being that as folks read the PHG blog and visit sites listed in the locations pages they'll dig in to the reading and resource pages to expand their interests in a particular area.

An example of a resource on this page is Bill Gordon's Kamikaze Images website. Bill has worked tirelessly to document the history of the Kamikaze, a delicate yet vitally important subject. There are very many memorials and monuments dedicated to the Kamikaze which, to the untrained eye, can blend in with other markers around Japan. I first heard of this website when discussing the Kamikaze memorial in Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture Japan, which isn't far from MCAS Iwakuni, with a great friend in Japanese history, Dr. Shawn Harding. Shawn's article in USNI is posted on the resources page as well.

As a historian and writer, I'm always looking for primary and secondary sources to assist in my research; being on the go or otherwise physically far away from a given collection can slow things down and impairs my ability to meet deadlines. If this sounds like you, then the resources page is built with you in mind as well. The resources page is a living document; we're adding links all the time to ensure that the most amount of information is available to whoever needs to see it. I hope that you all find it useful. If there's something you think is missing from it, or if the list itself isn't as user-friendly as you think it could be, let me know!

Keep discovering,

Tony
